Classic Brophy Chapel Wedding

How They Met:

Jack and Emily met in High School! Jack went to Brophy Prep and Emily went to Xavier Prep, the all girls school right next door. Their separate groups of friends met up at Country Thunder and they were instantly attracted to one another! Then the rest is history!

The Proposal:

Jack and Emily took a trip to Flagstaff where her family has a house. This was supposed to be for Emily’s birthday, but little did she know it would be for so much more! They spent the weekend just the two of them having a blast all around Flag. They went horseback riding, drove their jeep around, and watched lots of movies. In Emily’s words it “could not have been more perfect”.

The family had a birthday dinner planned at a nice restaurant in Flagstaff on Saturday night. Before dinner, Jack said he had a surprise for Emily and that it had something to do with what they did in high school. She knew INSTANTLY what they were doing and she was so excited. In high school they always used to watch the sunset on camelback mountain on the hood of their cars.

Well, Emily was right! They drove their car up to this beautiful mountain with a bottle of wine to watch the sunset. Emily thought nothing of it since they used to do this all the time. Just as the sun was setting Jack gets up, then down on one knee and pops the question! Tears are flying and it is perfection!

On their way back down the mountain, Emily was dying to call everyone and share the exciting news, but Jack told her they should just wait until after their dinner to start telling everyone. Emily ended up agreeing and they drove downtown. As soon as they walked into the restaurant, there sitting at the table is Emily’s whole family, as well as Jack’s whole family there to surprise her! It was amazing.

Mauve & Gold Royal Palms Wedding

Jonathan & Sarah:

How They Met:

When Jonathan graduated from nursing school he had a graduation party, which Sarah attended. He went to school with one of Sarah’s high school friends! Sarah was actually in a long term relationship that was on the rocks and Jonathan was fresh out of a long term relationship. Chris, his brother and best man, and Sarah attended nursing school together. Most people assume that’s how they met!

The Proposal:

When we asked Sarah what the proposal was like she told us, “hot and sweaty!” For Jonathan’s 30th birthday, he told Sarah that he wanted to hike Angels Landing in Zion. It was his birthday so she couldn’t argue with that. It was a very tiring climb to the top, but they made it! Sarah had one second to put down her pack before he was asking her to stand with him for a picture. Before she knew it he was down on one knee! They spent their first days as an engaged couple tent camping on the Virgin River. It was so serene Sarah said!

Superstition Mountain Golf Club | Magical Rainy Day Wedding

If you live in Arizona you know it doesn’t rain often, especially as early as October, but this year Arizona had a different plan. The morning of Kylani and Jared’s wedding the rain was coming down. As videographers we know we can always make any weather work in our favor with a little extra effort (and an amazing vendor team), but it’s making sure the Bride and Groom are happy with the outcome of their day. Unfortunately weather is not something we can control. Although we really wish we could. But YOU GUYS! Literally right before ceremony started the rain stopped and the most incredible rainbow showed up right behind them against the superstition mountains. It was like right out of a movie. Kylani and Jared were both so flexible and relaxed all day. All they wanted was to leave the day married and in love more than ever and I’m pretty sure they got that! It was a magical day, even with a little rain, and we couldn’t have asked for a better couple to spend it with.  We love you guys!

How They Met:

With the busyness of today’s world, meeting online is becoming more and more frequent. We have captured so many couples who have met online, including Kylani and Jared who met each other on Tinder!

The Proposal:

“You could say we are not your average couple. After dating for three weeks we were brave enough to pick out a dirt lot and build a home. 8 months later, the house was complete. Our first night in the house, after the last load of boxes were delivered, Jared decided to create our first memory in that house. Surround by boxes, he got down on one knee. It was chaos and perfection all at once.” -Kylani

Arizona Biltmore Destination Wedding

When we showed up the morning of Kevin and Deanna’s wedding day we knew it would be such a fun day. Deanna is so animated and absolutely hilarious. Her eyes were filled with tears of joy and gratitude throughout the whole day. Especially when she opened her wedding gift from Kevin, the best part? She got Kevin the exact same thing not knowing what he was getting her!!

Kevin and Deanna chose not to have a first look. The nerves were super high for both of them walking into their classic church ceremony. As soon as they saw each other as Deanna was walking down the aisle, you could feel the nerves disappear and the love between them was so apparent.

Read more about their classic Arizona Biltmore wedding below along with their story!

the couple, proposal, and wedding:

How They Met:

Kevin and Deanna met online. Their first date was at Starbucks in their Arlington neighborhood of Clarendon, Virginia. They sat on a set of club chairs and ended up spending three hours together. They talked about anything and everything, trying to learn everything they could about one another. The funny part of the date was a random man on his laptop sitting across from them. He was actually apart of a good majority of their first date conversation.

The Proposal:

When the thought of being engaged entered their relationship, Deanna made it very clear to Kevin she did not want a public proposal – no crowds, no restaurants, nothing. Something just between the two of them, as a very private special moment. Well, Kevin doesn’t quite like listening to Deanna. (According to her) His original plan was to propose under the cherry blossom trees in DC where they live. Not so private, right? Well in March of 2016, they got hit with a very deep freeze that ruined the poor blossom trees.

Then of course, Kevin had a back up plan. This plan was to take Deanna to the Hirshorn Museum for an exhibit she needed to see. He complained the entire way to the museum, trying to make sure his surprise stayed a surprise. As they walked through the museum, they stopped in front of this insane orchid display. (Which happens to be Deanna’s favorite kind of flower)

He kissed her, told her how much he loved her, all while holding her face. Kevin then proceeded to get down on one knee and asked her to marry him! Deanna says it was amazing!!! Kevin will tell you Deanna just starred at him for 20 seconds while he was on his knee and didn’t give him a response.. but it was actually only five seconds Deanna says. (haha!) Best day of her life.. March 18th.

The Wedding:

The wedding day went flawlessly thanks to Jamie with Imoni Events. There was not one detail overlooked, and everything was absolutely stunning. The two tied the knot in St. Maria Gorgetti, which was very special to them as they play a big role in their church.

Deanna and Kevin are fairly classic in their style. They wanted a classic and glamorous day with a touch of sparkle. The Arizona Biltmore was the perfect venue for their vision. Along with gold linens, classic white floral arrangements, and dainty sparkle navy name cards. The whole reception came together perfectly.

Bridesmaids were rocking these floor length gold sequin dresses, while the guys sported the classic navy blue tux with gold vests and bow ties. The two ended the night eating lots of cake and dancing the night away as Kevin twirled Deanna around the dance floor. It was the perfect evening for the most perfect couple. Congratulations again to Mr. & Mrs. Youngquist. We feel so honored that we had the privilege to capture your day. We wish you all the best in your future adventures together!

Romantic El Chorro Wedding

Umm.. wow. What else can we say? This wedding was a dream to capture from the stunning Kleinfeld gown the bride Elise wore so elegantly, to the florals from Petal Pusher, to the endearing speech from the Groom’s brother. It was simply a dream (I know we keep saying that!). We kept having to pinch ourselves to see if it was actually real. A sneak into their day through their wedding trailer is below.

the couple, proposal, and wedding:

How They Met:

Reed & Elise met at the University of Michigan their freshmen year. It was through Elise‘s sorority and Reed’s fraternity where they met. They lived in the same student dormitory, Bursley Hall, as well. After three years of friendship, Reed & Elise started dating their Senior year of college and it took off from there!

The Proposal:

Reed proposed in their New York City apartment on May 5, 2016. He taped plane tickets on the door to the apartment. When Elise came home she saw the tickets, walked in the door. and asked what they were about. Right in that moment Reed got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.

The tickets were for a surprise weekend trip to Quebec City, Canada to celebrate the proposal. After the proposal, and before Quebec, a private chef came to their apartment and cooked them dinner. Then Reed & Elise’s siblings and their significant others came over for dessert to join in on the celebration.

The Wedding:

Reed & Elise’s wedding was not only filled with elegant chandeliers, florals around every corner, and glitter everywhere. It was filled with true deep love by Reed and Elise and all their closest friends and family. Everyone there confirmed what they already knew, and that was that they were completely made for each other.

As Elise walked down the aisle towards Reed, tears filled both their eyes. They knew they were about to embark on this incredible new journey together. It was such an amazing day and we feel oh so honored to be the ones to capture it. Knowing in years to come children and grandchildren will see this film and feel the love between the two of them. Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Dodenhoff! May your journey be filled with adventure and all the love the world can give you!

Four Seasons Resort Destination Wedding

So many people ask us if we do destination weddings, and the answer is YES! But a lot of times we do them right here in Arizona. Scottsdale is a huge spot for destination weddings and the Four Seasons Resort does not disappoint. The stunning views will be sure to capture your out of town guests attention.  But, if you’re getting married at the beach, in the Colorado mountains, or an adventurous location we would be sure to follow you anywhere!

Eric and Taylor chose the perfect spot for their destination wedding right here in Arizona and we are so excited to share this beauty with you now!

the couple, proposal, and wedding:

How They Met:

Eric met Taylor in February 2012 at a birthday party in New York City, and he was able to grab her phone number before the end of the night. Unfortunately, when Eric called to ask Taylor out on a date a few days later, she said no, citing extensive work travel out of the country.

Fast forward a few months to when their mutual friend “re-introduced” them. This time, there wouldn’t be another “no”. In fact, Taylor was the one to ask Eric out for a beer AND scored herself an invite to a group dinner that night. The rest as they say, was history.

The Proposal:

On August 4th, 2016 Eric proposed! Nervous and anxious, Eric took Taylor for a walk along the Hudson River in New York City, a place that holds a lot of meaning to the happy couple. It is where they met, and where they shared their first apartment together.

There was a lot of planning involved, but also lots of worry that someway, somehow Taylor, being so perceptive, would think something was up. Walking along the water, a place where Eric and Taylor have gone on hundreds of walks and runs together, Eric got down on one knee. Surprised and emotional, she said “Yes!”. Success! They were so happy their families could be there to celebrate with them at Palma restaurant later that evening in New York City.

The Wedding:

From the blush bridal details, to the special penny sewn into Eric’s tie, and their sweet pup that came to steal the spotlight in a few photos. The day was absolutely perfect in every way. Eric and Taylor did such an amazing job making sure not one detail was overlooked, and that everything had such a special meaning to them as a couple making it even more special to capture.

We feel so lucky to have had the pleasure of capturing the happiest day of your life Eric and Taylor! Congratulations!! We hope you two have a lifetime full of love, happiness, and puppy kisses!

Burgundy & Pale Pink Fairytale Hyatt Wedding | Videographer Phoenix

Sometimes we can’t believe this is what we get to do for a living! Capturing the most stunning and happiest day of a couples life. This wedding was one for the books!  From the stunning custom Lillian Loutie ball gown, to the pale pink perfectly rounded bouquet, and the stunning white backdrop in the reception. This wedding was absolutely incredible! Every little detail was thought through and executed perfectly for us to capture alongside Silvana Braggio Photography by the amazing Maya Event Co.

The Couple, Proposal, & Wedding:

How They Met:
Dianna and Mahmoud met seven years ago. They had mutual friends who planned a fun day at the Polar Ice Skating Rink in Chandler, Arizona. Once everyone arrived they all had a great time together. Dianna and Mahmoud hit it off immediately!

The Proposal:
The proposal was simple. In Dianna’s words, “his lack of romance was actually cute.” Dianna and Mahmoud described themselves as strong, humble, and happy. When Mahmoud proposed over the phone to Dianna, it was the perfect scenario for the two of them. She said yes, and the rest is history!

The Wedding:
Their wedding was absolutely stunning and unique. From Dianna’s ball gown, to the black and white tuxes, and floor length burgundy bridesmaid dresses everything came together so well.  They had a traditional middle orient wedding with a Zaffa ceremony. It was such a cool experience to be apart of their unique cultural wedding. During the reception they had traditional choreographed dances and the most stunning romantic cloud of smoke surround them during their first dance. The stage was set with a gorgeous white backdrop dressed with chandeliers, flowers, and candles. The bride and groom enjoyed a different view of the reception from the modern white leather couch on stage. To top off this already super fun wedding, the couple pulled out a sword to cut their cake! (Say, what!?) Wishing we could go back in time and experience everything all over again!

A Wedding Film is Worth the Investment:

First off, congrats to all the newly engaged couples out there! This is such an exciting time in your lives, and we hope you enjoy every minute of it! As you start looking for vendors and budgeting out your wedding, we wanted to give you a little insight as to why a wedding film is so worth the investment!

A Wedding Film is the first thing cut from the wedding budget, yet the number one regret a couple has after a wedding if they decided not to get one. The very thought of a couple not having a wedding film to document their wedding day makes us beyond sad. So many moments and memories lost, so here is our pitch! Take what you like and leave the rest!

1. Who is at your wedding sadly may not be here ten years from now. Over our ten years in business we have had 10 couples lose someone unexpectedly after the wedding. For many of those couples, their wedding day was the last time they ever saw that person and heard their voice. Can you even imagine not hearing your mom’s words to you as she zipped you into your dress? Or your dad’s toast to you on your wedding day? Or what your groom says to you the moment he first sees you in your dress? Lost, lost, and lost if you opt out of a wedding film. We hate to be morbid, but it is a truth. Document the day… No matter the curve balls life throws us you will be so glad to have a video record of those who were with you that day.

2. Of course you are going to have a Photographer on your wedding day. But Photos and a Wedding Film go hand in hand. A Photographer will give you snapshots of moments. We will give you the sound and motion from those moments. Together we are your memory team giving you multiple facets and angles of the day. We have never had a couple say to us that they had too many memories of their wedding day. As soon as people find out what we do for a living, inevitably the ones who didn’t have a cinematographer at their wedding always say to us, “That was our biggest regret.. I so wish we had a wedding film. We decided against it and I wish we hadn’t.” I have never had someone say to me, “I wish we didn’t invest in a wedding film.” Even if it wasn’t a great film, they are still glad they have it.

3. The day goes beyond super fast. The morning after your wedding you will discuss with your spouse how amazing it was and you will both agree that it went by lightening fast. And if you decided to invest in a wedding film you will have a sense of peace in knowing that you have that memory forever, but also that you will soon get to re-live that day when the film is finished. We will show you in your film, parts of the day, that you never knew existed. You will get to see your day from a completely different angle. You will get to re-live it like it is brand new again and that is priceless.

4. You will want this memory if you decide to have a family. While it may not be on the radar now, having a family might be in the picture one day and you will regret deeply not being able to share the day of your wedding with your future children. They will want to see what life was like before they came along. A wedding film is such a special memory to share with them.

5.  In this day and age with all of the technology it just makes sense. Wedding films can now be easily shared with family and friends. You want those that attended and those that couldn’t to be able to share in the memories, still be able to through your wedding film. Wedding films are nothing like they used to be, they are high quality productions now. They are a customized story of your wedding day, fabulous, and a must have in your wedding budget.

Endless Love Wedding at The W Scottsdale | Videographer Phoenix

Endless Love Wedding at The W Scottsdale | Videographer Phoenix

This wedding was so spectacular; we are not even sure where to start! Our jaws dropped when we saw the ceremony site. To have a floating walkway over the water is so unique and breathtaking. What an awesome isle to walk down as a bride.

Everything about this wedding just screams classic, romantic and glam all at the same time. We think the all white color pallet in the floral is spot on with the look and feel they were going for, which is eternal love.

How They Met:

They worked in the same retail industry, Krystle as a buyer and Bourzoo as a clothing designer. What started as a friendship, quickly turned into so much more. They soon learned that they wanted to be together forever.

The Proposal:

The proposal of course was nothing short of amazing as well. Bourzoo tricked Krystle into thinking he was going on a business trip, and that she was invited. It was supposed to be someplace in Canada that was very cool and she had never been so she was very excited.

Bourzoo also told Krystle that since it was a quick and last minute trip he asked his friend if he could use his private plane. They arrived at the airport and quickly made their way to the plane.

Krystle stepped on first – and to her surprise her parents were sitting there on the plane! Her parents then told Krystle to turn around and as she did Bo walked on to the plane and dropped to his knee. She says it was the best moment of her life! They took the plane to Maine and met Bourzoo’s parents have weekend getaway for us and our parents to celebrate! He totally blew her away, and of course she said yes!
