Kate and Evan at El Chorro

Kate and Evan got married at El Chorro right before our world shut down and we couldn’t have wanted to spend it with anyone else! Elegant, classic, and romantic sums up their wedding day. Sam with Revel Wedding Co. did an amazing job making sure every little detail was accounted for, LUX curated bright and airy bouquets and floral arrangements that complimented their design, and as always it was so fun capturing their day alongside Elyse Hall Photography.

How They Met:

In November of 2017 Kate attended a new church lifegroup here in Arizona. She walks up to a strangers home, knocks on the door, and it flys open. There is Evan jumping up and down with a huge smile on his face welcoming her to the lifegroup. Over the next year and a half Kate friend zoned Evan. It wasn’t until January of 2019 she realized she wanted to be more than just friends. Evan’s humble leadership, loyalty, and submission to God won Kate over. Kate’s beauty, personality, and love for God won Evan over. In April of 2019 Kate and Evan officially started dating and the rest is history!

The Proposal:

Kate had been dreaming of the day she got proposed to since forever, and Evan was made well aware of the “non-negotiables” of Kate’s dream day. One being her best friends and Dad had to be in attendance. So two months before the big day, Evan started planning. Kate does not like surprises, so she was determined to figure out what day she thought Evan would pop the question. Well, she thought she had the day figured out, but her best friend had a “work conference” that weekend so she came to the conclusion it just wasn’t happening that weekend.

Well the morning of October 5th Kate and Evan went to breakfast. They walked into the restaurant to four of her closest girl friends sitting at their breakfast table, she squealed, “I’m getting engaged today!” The girls whisked her off to get her nails, hair, and makeup done. Once Kate was ready Evan picked her up and “walked” her through their story. Making stops at significant places to them, with the final stop being at Papago Park Lake where Evan got down on one knee and proposed to Kate. She screamed, “Yes!” and her best friends and Dad jumped out from behind bush yelling, “Congratulations!” They ended the day with more friends and a surprise dinner party. It was everything Kate had dreamed of.

The Wedding:

Kate and Evan’s El Chorro wedding was simply romantic and heartfelt. White florals, candle lit dinner, and sentimental toasts made their wedding day unforgettable. Kate and Evan’s first look was so sweet. Evan couldn’t stop smiling and kissing Kate. Their love for one another is contagious and so true. We also can’t forget about their sweet pup Shiloh Grace who stole the show! We spent the day capturing the fun moments, the laughter, the pure joy of each guest celebrating Kate and Evan becoming husband and wife!
