How They Met

Hotel Palomar in Downtown Phoenix set the stage for Samantha and Justin’s first encounter. Samantha had just graduated from Arizona State University to start as a Concierge and Justin was the Audio Visual Director for PSAV. He was smitten right away, but her youthfulness played hard to get.

After a six-month friendship, Samantha’s family invited Justin to join them in Las Vegas for Thanksgiving. It was safe to say that her feelings for Justin had blossomed and she was ready to make a commitment to being in a relationship. What happens in Vegas stays there, but let’s just say they became much more than just friends.

New relationships are always great when you are falling in love. Every love story comes with its challenges, but by communicating and compromising they grew as a couple and formed an unbreakable bond of friendship and true love.

The Proposal

(As told by Samantha)

Upon finishing my workday I called Justin to check in as I always do. On the other end of the phone Justin was telling me that he was at Home Depot (not true, he was hidden in the studio) and to enjoy my time with Christina tonight and he would see me later. He said he loved me so much and to have a great class.

I arrived at the studio around 5:30 pm to find that the class was quickly filling up with familiar faces of the barre3 staff, frequent clients, and my own mother! What a fun class I thought. The owner Karie Johnson was the instructor and the class was high energy and such a wonderful time with people I loved. Barre3 had become a place where I could share my heart with an amazing community and feel the same love in return. It was so much more than just a workout routine. Justin knew this and wanted to make this a moment I would never forget at the studio.

At the end of every barre3 class, we take three closing breaths and close our eyes. During these last few moments of class, two songs filled the room. The first song was “Sunshine” by Tje Austin to represent the fact that this evening was a full moon.

The second song was “Cheerleader” by Omi, the instrumental version with Justin’s voice recorded on the track as a voiceover. He spoke the words “She is such an incredible person with a beautiful soul. There is not a day that goes by that I am not constantly thinking of her and what I can do for her as she has done for me. I want to be able to do that for the rest of my life. She always finds a way to bring out the best in me. I would be honored to spend the rest of my life with her. She really needs to know how special she is…not just to me, but to everyone

Even after hearing these words, I still had no idea what was going on, my eyes were still closed. I finally opened my eyes when I felt Christina brush my arm as she reached down to grab her phone. When my eyes opened, I saw Justin walking into the studio with a small box in his hand and a huge smile on his face. He got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever. I was shocked and instantly burst into tears. My mother was right next to me crying and cheering. I said yes to my soulmate and felt like the luckiest girl in the world.

The Wedding:

We love the ceremony site of
Chateau Luxe! It’s a huge all white room, that just has an overpowering bright and beautiful feel. It was perfectly accented with white and pink floral and clear decor items. It felt very modern and tasteful.

We really like how they used hints of metallic to really make the color scheme pop. The bridesmaids were dripping in rose gold sequined dresses and we are obsessed with them.

The whole evening was crisp and modern and had a cosmopolitan couture vibe.
