Mallika and Varun got married at the Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain in Tucson, Arizona. This venue is a favorite of ours! The gorgeous desert scenery, the mountain backdrop at ceremony, and the stunning ballroom for reception. Meagan with Crain & Co. Events did not let one detail go unnoticed during their weekend extravaganza! The color palettes, the music, the florals by Mint Green Design that pulled everything together. It was all so stunning!!
How They Met:
Mallika and Varun met on Hinge, a dating app, because how else do you meet people these days!? The two had their first date at The Matador, an amazing Mexican restaurant in Portland, Oregon. After their first date they couldn’t stay away from each other and continued to see one another everyday.
The Proposal:
Mallika and Varun were on another one of their adventures, this time on a trip to Iceland and the Faroe Islands. When landing in Reykavik, it ended up taking the couple three hours to get their rental car! So plan A on the proposal Varun had planned ended up not happening.
Varun then had to improvise. While they were walking about the city, he stopped at a seawall bordering the gorgeous Greenland Sea and proposed to Mallika! Mallika was completely surprised, as she was under the impression that the proposal wouldn’t happen on that trip whatsoever! They spent the rest of their time on the trip celebrating their new engagement!
The Wedding:
We love the Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain in Tucson, Arizona where Mallika and Varun tied the knot! Talk about color, each day was full of it! Mallika and Varun are loving, silly, and adventurous and their wedding perfectly embodied these qualities about them. Blush, white and a rose gold color palette made for the most stunning wedding. Florals filled the weekend from Mallika’s hair piece to the incredible white floral backdrop for their ceremony. They danced, they sang, and they partied all weekend long. It was such an honor to capture their special day!
