Nelda and Karen met 57 years ago in college. They fell in love and have shared their life together ever since. There was always something missing though… They wanted to be married. Up until a few months ago that was not an option in the state of Arizona. Nelda and Karen made that option possible. They led the charge for the lawsuit against the state of Arizona banning Same Sex Marriages and won. 57 years later they wed… They invited everyone to be present for their Ceremony because so many people had supported them in their cause for marriage equality.

This film is one of my proudest moments as a wedding professional… Being able to be a part of history and living to see a time when marriage equality is a reality is unbelievable. And Serendipity getting to document the love of this incredible couple was icing on the cake. Congratulations to Nelda and Karen on a wedding 57 years in the making.
