The energy and excitement for the Serendipity team of a Same Day Edit is unparalleled…. We shoot and edit a mini Highlight Film to be aired at a couples wedding reception. It is super gratifying to see our work displayed on the big screen and to watch a couples response to it, the laughter, the tears and the awe that they are watching a film that was filmed just hours before. It is one of our FAVORITE things to do!!!!

Gena and Eric came to us from Canada. They were having an August wedding at The Montelucia. Yes you read that right… August wedding in Arizona. I asked her if she knew just how hot it is here in August…. Gena smiled and laughed and said “We are ready for it!! And we will figure it all out no matter how hot it gets. I just can’t wait to be Eric’s wife” Fast forward to the wedding day and we were in full swing and editing away and then a monsoon hit… A Same Day Edit is stressful enough but then you add a power outage and torrential winds and rains??? Figure it out we did…. 30 minutes before the Ceremony it became apparent that we were going to need to move the Ceremony indoors. Then the power went out… We were on pins and needles wondering if this thing was even going to air at the Reception… And there were Gena and Eric… All blissful and in love… Couldn’t care less that their entire Ceremony vision was changed in a split second and that the wind and rain was howling outdoors. I think it was a metaphor of the awesomeness of their relationship and how they will handle the challenges that come their way in the years to come.
